FILTERS FOR SHELTERS

In accordance with the said Rules we were the first in Slovenia to have obtained from the National Institute of Chemistry Ljubljana, which is authorized to issue certificates of conformity with the Rules, a Certificate on the compliance of new and remanufactured filters for shelters, with markings:

type ECS 250                   replacing filters labeled                    FKZ 250

type ECS 125                   replacing filters labeled                    FKZ 125

type ECS   63                   replaces filters labeled                    FKZ   63

These filters are installed in shelters and refuges for civil protection of the population. They remove toxic aerosols from contaminated air, created by the release of poison gases. It is a combined filter, which consists of an aerosol filter of H13 quality and specifically impregnated activated carbon. Impregnated activated carbon, which is built into our filters, complies with all world standards required for the purposes of protection, both in its content and quantity of elements with which it is impregnated.

REMANUFACTURING OF THE FILTERS FOR SHELTERS:

Filters for civil protection shelters, which have expired but have still maintained their proper casings, are remanufactured. When remanufacturing, we only use the existing casings, all other elements, such as activated carbon, aerosol filter and seals are installed new and are therefore the same as in the new filters. The casing is then painted blue.

PRODUCTION OF NEW FILTERS FOR SHELTERS – we manufacture new filters in their entirety.

In regard to the technical characteristics of the air flow, the remanufactured and new ECS are consistent with FKZ filters, and due to the improved quality of the built-in aerosol filters and the impregnated activated carbon they represent an improved and longer-lasting protection.

Each filter for shelters, remanufactured or newly constructed within the production of COLF d.o.o., receives:

• serial certification label issued by the National Institute of Chemistry Slovenia (assigned labels under which the prescribed records are kept on the remanufacturing and construction of filters for shelters)
• certificate of remanufacturing or production of a filter
• warranty
